The role of WeQuests in learning a foreign/second language

First, it is important to mention what dose WebQuest mean ? WebQuest means an inquiry oriented activity in which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from resources on the internet, optionally supplemented with videoconferencing. Another definition describes it as activity, using Internet resources, which encourage students to use higher order thinking skills to solve a real messy problem. It has five main elements are welcome, introduction (why do this activity), task (what is supposed to be accomplished), process (how to go about it), evaluation ( how will the teacher evaluate the students and know their levels) and conclusion.
The teacher will guide the students in the class which is full of technologies. So, the class will take place in labs with internet. WebQuest tend to be student-oriented and collaborative, with students engaged in constructivist activities resulting in shared learning experiences and new knowledge based on enquiry-oriented language use and Web research skills. Also, it is cooperative in nature, requiring students to take on roles where they are part of a team that must accomplish the task.
Finally, as a teacher, I think it is a good tool to be used in my EFL classes. It will motivate the students since it is a new thing they try. I also think that they will enjoy too.The most important thing they will learn, in my opinon, that is they will learn how to work in group.
